This time I want to share my experience regarding remote work + college. To give you an idea, my current busy schedule consists of remote work, college, and freelancing in 2 places. For college (specifically this semester), I am participating in the Asah led by Dicoding program, which is a sort of web-based developer academy.
#1 How to get all the work done on time?
The most important thing in my opinion is to set priorities. I think this applies to all fields. For example, when you were still in school, your main priority would definitely be everything related to school.
Example: You are given two assignments, where one is due tomorrow and the other is due next week. You will automatically prioritize the assignment due tomorrow, right? The same applies to work/college.
#2 How do you manage your priorities?
It's totally up to you, use whatever method makes you comfortable. For me personally, I make a to-do list for each job. I usually group them by month. But for each day, I write down again 3-4 tasks that can roughly be finished today.
And I usually write all this using a simple list in my notes app. I've tried Notion and others, but found them too complicated :v
#3 Have you ever fallen behind?
Yeah, definitely. My ideal schedule is focusing on my main job from morning to afternoon on weekdays. Then the rest of the time can be spent on freelance or college. But sometimes when I should be working on something, I end up sleeping (a 'power nap', supposedly) hahaha.
But as long as you are responsible, it shouldn't be a problem. Know your time, know your deadlines.
#4 So what's the conclusion?
Well, what are your priorities? Then, choose your daily tasks wisely. Learn to be consistent. I'm personally still learning about this too. Don't set your expectations too high for others, everyone has their productive and lazy phases HAHAHA.
